Our partner Ricardo Monteiro returned to the Giro do Boi studio to tell us about the evolution of the Speckle Park breed in Brazil. The breed is being used for both purebred and crossbreeding purposes, with very positive results. In the case of animals crossed with Nelore, the characteristics of the Speckle Park breed are appreciated, while maintaining the rusticity of the Nelore. The Speckle Park breed is still in its early stages in Brazil, but there is growing interest and success among breeders. The exceptional quality of the breed's meat and its potential for early maturation make it a valuable choice for breeders. The goal is to continue developing and promoting the Speckle Park breed in Brazil, with plans for future slaughterhouses and Brazilian semen collection.
